About QSR International QSR International is a 117 unit multi-brand Master Franchise Quick Service restaurant developer conducting business in 14 countries throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. Today, QSR International owns and operates the Master Franchise for Quiznos Sub restaurants in Latin America and the Caribbean where they currently have 83 licensed Quiznos Sub restaurants operating, with an additional 15 restaurants under development. In addition to these units, QSR International has awarded and sold an additional 23 Quiznos Sub Franchises which, through Development Agreement commitments, will be opened in the next few years. QSR International also owns and operates the Master Franchise for Teriyaki Experience, a Canadian based Franchise, in Latin American and the Caribbean where they have eight restaurants open and an additional five units committed. Recently, QSR International obtained the rights to develop Smashburger in Central America, Venezuela and parts of the Caribbean. The process to bring Smashburger, which was named America’s Most Promising Company by Forbes Magazine in 2011, has already begun. The first two Smashburger restaurants will open in Central America in 2012. In addition, and within the country of Costa Rica, QSR International owns, licenses, and operates 26 KFC’s, 14 Quiznos, and five Teriyaki Experience restaurants. In 2012, QSR will open an additional five KFC restaurants in Costa Rica which is where QSR International bases a 10,000-square-foot Restaurant Support Center employing over 110 persons. Finally, QSR International, through wholly owned subsidiaries, operates several companies which service and supply the restaurant, hotel and retail grocery industries. These companies include a Restaurant Supply Chain Store (Chef’s Supply), an Industrial Bakery (Chef’s Kitchen), and a Real Estate holding company.
